Skincare Organix was founded in 2007, born from a long passion for all that is natural and wholesome in life and an aversion to synthetic chemicals and their effects on us and our environment.  We are genuinely concerned with the effects of what we put on our bodies as well as what we put in our bodies and equally troubled by the chemical effects that modern life is having on all living things.  The organic skin care products we offer contain organic ingredients and support eco-friendly processing to the highest degree possible.  We love and respect Mother Earth and value her abundant gifts of life.

What makes us unique?

You won't find any products here that are made by the well-known, mega-companies.  Our products are vegan, cruelty-free and made by small, independent manufacturers with herbs and botanicals, some grown on their own properties!  Our fabulous manufacturers include Angelina Organic Skincare, B R Y C E Organics, Sea Chi, Soothing Herbals, Taylor Made Organics, and The Myrtle Leaf.  Products are made fresh, often and in small batches, therefore reducing the need for strong, artificial preservatives and are unique products not commonly found in stores or spas.  Orders are shipped directly from the manufacturer(s) and if you order from more than one manufacturer, your products will arrive separately.  Many products are made fresh to order so please allow a little extra delivery time. 

What does "organic" mean?

In the most basic sense, organic means grown or raised naturally.  For plants, it means grown on certified organic land without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, genetic modification or irradiation.  For organic face care, body care and hair care products, it means the products contain mostly organic, natural ingredients with very little if any synthetic chemicals.  "Natural" products usually contain some natural ingredients along with higher amounts of synthetic chemicals.

Why use organic skin care products?

The skin is our largest organ and absorbs everything that gets on it.  Did you know that when you take a shower, your body absorbs as much water as when you drink a glass of water?!  Organic products are a safer option to common skin care chemicals like parabens, petroleum, carbowax, PEGs, propylene glycol, artificial dyes, etc. can accumulate in our internal organs, potentially harming them and our health.  Controversy about the safety of such ingredients in skin care products and their effect on the environment has caused people to take a closer look at organic skin care products.  Using organic skin care products reduces your exposure to toxins and minimizes their harmful effects on people, animals, waterways and the environment.  Organic skin care products are often sold in recyclable containers which also benefits the earth.

Always conduct a patch test before using new products.  Apply a small amount of new product to clean skin on the inside of your elbow, cover with a bandage and leave for 24 hours.  If a rash or redness appears, do not use the product and contact a physician if necessary.  All products are for external use only (do not take internally).
